As part of the e-mail migration we need to bring the campus into compliance with Commonwealth of Virginia Security Standards (COV ITRM SEC501) by prohibiting the auto forwarding of e-mails to external accounts to prevent data leakage.  We believe we have identified a process to allow the sending of e-mail message headers only to Blackberry devices and allowing the user to choose weather to retrieve the rest of the e-mail or not.  Even with this process we’ll still need a documented business case disclosing unmitigated risk approved in writing by the President for VITA to process.
